What To Do When SHTF: Get In Touch With The Nature Side Of Yourself

The end of the world is here. The world is in chaos. Panic everywhere. People are fleeing for their lives trying to get to shelter. You know where it is. But there’s a big stretch of sinkholes, bridges falling apart, buildings collapsing and all the other things you were warned about. But have you prepared yourself enough?

Life as you know it is about to change. Every comfort, every material luxury you have is soon going to be turned to ashes in the fires that are about to come. All those times you used the dishwasher instead of your hands? And the washing machine? And the blender? None of that exists anymore. So what do you do? You get in touch with the nature side of yourself. Or use what everyone did in the age before technology: your hands.

Here’s a list of things you need to prepare yourself for if you want to survive:

1)     CLEAN OUT YOUR GARAGE

Have a garage sale. Immediately. Clean out all the unnecessary items that you’ve secretly been hoarding and make space for things that you actually need, essentials that will help you in prepping for THAT day. You can even sell it on eBay! Which is actually a better idea since you better make use of and enjoy internet while it lasts.

2)     LEARN TO DO YOUR DISHES (WITHOUT COMPLAINT)

The dishwasher is going to be gone soon. Along with all other electrical appliances. So might as well take out those yellow rubber gloves that you never used and get some practice in when you still have a choice. Prep yourself for some serious dish washing later.

3)     GET TO THAT PILE OF LAUNDRY. NOW

Just like the dishwasher, the washing machine won’t be around for much longer. Learning how to wash clothes is essential and imperative. No one is going to wash your clothes for you and when you’re on the road, getting to the safe house, you’re going to need this bit of knowledge.

4)     GET A WHEAT GRINDER

Yes. This is much more important than knowing how to wash your dishes or your clothes. And it is a must. You’re no longer going to get white bread, brown bread, whole-grain bread, or any other kind of bread. Now you’re just going to be treated to the bread of your own making. So better make it good!

5)     LEARN TO HUNT

With the amount of food you’re used to eating right now, all those stocks off canned food won’t last a week with you not being able to order pizza whenever you want. Easy solution: learn to hunt. Go back to the Stone Ages (not really), pick up a bow and arrow or a fishing pole and start your practicing. Trust me it’s not as easy as it sounds. You’ll need all the practice you can get.

6)     START RATIONING NOW

Build your tolerance to not eating for longer periods of time from today. It will help in the future when you have to ration the canned foods and you can’t hunt. Because let’s face it. Hunting? Not something you’re going to automatically be skilled at.
