Prepper News Watch for April 2, 2013

Prepper News Watch

Coming Riots – There was a link to an article yesterday that needs to be highlighted again today; you’ll find it in the Special Attention section below. If you haven’t read this, you need to. This isn’t the first time we have seen this information, as Matt Bracken has also discussed this, but it’s something that every prepper needs to come to grips with. If you want to know what you need to be preparing for, this is it.

EMP – Even though the US Government is saying that they’re not seeing any increase in military posture from North Korea, the US continues to increase our military presence in the region. I think this is one of those ‘watch what they do not what they say’ type of events. While NK isn’t able to attack us with a barrage of nuclear-tipped missiles, they can hit us with EMP. Keep in mind that their missiles don’t have to reach the US mainland for an EMP attack. While they probably can’t hit the entire US with EMP on their own, they can get close enough to take out, at least, the western third.

China – Have you seen what’s going on with China? Check out the bottom section and how everyone is bending over backwards to be kind to China. I think it’s pretty clear that when governments and corporations are bending over to kiss apologize to a country that’s putting lead in our children’s toy and poison in our pet food that they know who is going to be the big dog on the block soon. For preppers, I think this is another sign that our economic outlook isn’t going to get better soon.

If you have find a news story or prepping-related article, send it in.
