Im currently listening to an audio book called, The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived The Great American Dust Bowl, by Timothy Egan. Its history, but its told in an interesting way. Im only through the first few chapters, but Im struck by the hard living that the people in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles had to endure. Quite interesting, and a stark reality check for any prepper that thinks they can just roll back their standard of living to a sustenance level of survival. Sure, you can do it, but why?
