When putting together the food storage part of your preparedness plan, keep in mind that you should have a wide variety of foods. This should encompass:
- Pantry Food – this is the foods in your pantry, freezer and fridge and you eat everyday.
- Lightweight, Quickly Made Food – freeze-dried and MRE meals.
- Bulk Storage – grains, salt, sugar, staples, etc.
- Freeze-dried Bulk – food that are individual components, but packed and sealed for long term storage.
